Day 5 - Friday, April 24th

Travel back to Holland

I felt very very tired when I woke up. What a busy, nice and fun week this has been! I didn't want to leave London jet. but we had to. So we wake up again at 06:00 and the morning was the same as always. But this was the last time we would be waking up at 6 to shower. having breakfast at 7 and being brought to Civic Centre Harrow by Mrs. Murphy. This kind woman who had taken care of us those last days. It had been so great in London! I definitely want to go back one day.So when we arrived at Civic Centre Harrow we went in our bus, and left London on our trip back to Holland. I (again) had a chocolate muffin at the boat ( I love chocolate muffins!) and we had a nice time playing cards and stuff.
only Liël and Mr. Zagt didn't join us on our trip back. They stayed for a few more days
We arrived at Callais and at our bus trip from France back to Holland we stopped once to get some food. and when we arrived in Zwolle at v. d. Capellen I realised this wonderful experience had ended.

Thanks for everything and thanks for making it possible going to London!

Day 4 - Thursday, April 23th

Last Day London, And Tess her B-day!

the morning started like every morning and we walked to Harrow on the Hill again. Where we sang "Happy Birthday" for Tess, she turned 15 that day. Then we went by underground to Kensington. Where the we went to the museum we chose. I went to the Victoria and Albert with Sanam, Victoria and Eline. And it was so beautiful! when we went out of the museum we had spare time for like 7, 8 hours. We went by underground ourselves (without teacher) and could choose wherever in London we would like to go to. I went with Willeke, Sanam, Tess and Guus to the topshop which was very very big (crazy). And Tess and I lost Willeke, Sanam and Guus. We found Guus again. But Willeke and Sanam were lost. So we decided to go seperate.
Tess, Guus and I went to Starbucks to eat our lunch and then we went to the topshop and some other little shops where I bought this cute skirt and a lovely dress.
we taxed Sanam and Willeke to eat together in the PizzaHut and we had some delicious pizza!
After this we went to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
I'm sorry to report but I didn't like this musical. It was too much singing (and no speaking) which I didn't liked. And it was too much of this 'happy clappy yay' people. It could be a bit more serious.
After the musical everybody was very tired and we moved to Harrow on the Hill by underground from where we walked to Civic Centre Harrow again.

this was our last day at London and when we came home by our host family we were all very tired and fell asleep pretty soon.

Day 3 - Wednesday, April 22th

I LOVE LONDON

we wake up at 6 o'clock, had a shower, had breakfast at 07:00 and went to Civic Centre Harrow at 07:45. There we arrived at 08:00 and we had to walk to the underground station: Harrow on the Hill. We had to be there at 9 o'clock and we could walk it in half an hour (or less) so we had time left and went to the supermarket, and bought something to eat and drink. at 09:00 we went by metro to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and that was interesting to see althought it wasn't the original theatre.

Then we left the theatre and went to a park to chill. I went to the Starbucks with Liël (I can really reccomend you to go there, I love it!). And then we left again. To Covert Garden by underground. There I went looking in shops and I saw those amazingly fabulous shoes! It's a shame I didn't bought them. Sanam and I even tried them on and made a picture of it
(see Sanam her Blog)

and I also bought a chocolate muffin, something to eat and a drink. Then when our free time was over whe went to The Imperial War Museum by underground. But I didn't really liked it so when we were allowed Victoria and I went out and layed down on the grass and talked with some people (yeahhh we chilled a lot in London that was very nice). Then we went to the underground again (those were so small, warm, sweaty and so crowded!), and went to Harrow on the Hill. From where we walked to Civic Centre Harrow again and went home with our hostfamilies

Day 1 - Monday, April 20th

The Travelling Day

when I woke up this Monday morning, I was very excited about going to London. I was really really looking forward to it and that gave me a lot of energy. So I came out of my bed, got dressed and ate my breakfast. The evening before I already packed my suitcase so I got time left. arround 8:30 I went to Willeke, my mom couldn't bring me to school because she had to go to work early. And I stayed there until we left at 9:30. arround 10:15 the bus was ready to leave and our long trip to london had begun. During the bustrip to Calais the bus was very noisy and full of children talking full of excitement about what London could bring us. We had a lot of fun in the bus. Then we arrived at Calais and entered the boat. while we stayed at the boat we ate some frites with mayo and later I ate one chocolate muffin, yum! After like 2 hours we arrived at Dover. we stepped into the bus again and left the boat. Just a few hours till we would met our hostfamilies everybody was very excited and everybody hoped (ofcourse) that our hostfamily would be nice to us and that we would be staying in a perfect house with nice soft beds.
When we finally arrived at Civic Centre Harrow (at arround 20:30) all different men and women stood there waiting for us. Then we stepped out of the bus and waited till we would hear with which hostfamily we would going to be with for the next week in London. Liël, Lotta and Nini stayed with an older but very nice and kind lady called Mrs. Murphy. Then we went to her home and she made some spaghetti for us. And when we finished we went upstairs and fel asleep on our nice soft beds!

Day 2 - Tuesday, April 21st

Our first day to see London..

I was so excited! We had to wake at 6 o clock (man, that's early!) because we had to shower and were all girls.. We also had to brush our hair, put on some mascara and think about what we were going to wear that day. at 7 o clock we had our breakfast. We could choose between having cornflakes or toast (or both) with marmelade or chocolate. And when we finished eating we took our bags and at 07:45 Mrs. Murphey brought us with her car to Civic Centre Harrow, where we arrived at 08:00. Then we got into our bus an went to the centre of London were we drove arround and drove allong attractions for about 2 hours and then we stopped at The Tower of London. There we got some free time to hang arround and get us something to eat. Some of my classmates were going to look for a starbucks and Liël and I also wanted to go but we were a bit behind so we runned to reach them. They just crossed a road and Liël watched left, saw no cars and thought: I can cross as well, maybe if I run..) so she ran and I sreamed because I saw a car coming from right (ohhhh cars are driving on the left in England). BAM! the car hit Liël and the felt on the ground. But she stood up rightaway and only had a little wound on her hand. I was so shocked about this accident that I started to cry. I was even more shocked than Liël herself hahaha. I'm happy that nothing happend to her!
Ok. After this car accident we went on. We went on a boat cruise on the River Cruise allong some attractions, well known buildings and we saw some famous bridges. we stepped off at the Big Ben and then we walked to Buckingham Palace, where we got free time to do things for ourselves.
Then we walked to St. James Park and there we also got free time to chill on the grass ( about 2 hours).
hmm.. we really enjoyed the sun there! Then we went to Trafelgar Square, and again we got spare time. I went into the city to look for shops together with Willeke, Sanam and Liël and saw some nice shops. Then we collected at Trafelgar Square again and went by underground to Harrow on the Hill. And when we arrived at that station we had to walk to Civic Centre Harrow where our beloved host families waited for us.
